U.S.S. RECOVERY

The Rescue class ship is a new type of medical and emergency response vessel. Highly modular and adaptable, the class is destined to replace the Olympic class medical vessels. The two variants shown here are the U.S.S. Recovery (engineering oriented) and the U.S.S. Remedy (medical orientated). The Recovery comes with a wide variety of small support vessels to aid in starship recovery and emergency response. The Remedy is equipped with emergency evac support ambulances and highly advanced medical facilities.

The Rescue class starship can support a wide variety of environments to support crew and patients, including a whole aquatic deck and series of aquatic tubes that run parallel with the corridors.

The ship carries limited phaser banks and no torpedoes (although it carries probe launch bays that can be adapted to fire torpedoes as well). It's shields and hull plating have been significantly upgraded, allowing the ship to enter extremely hazardous areas of space and withstand a reasonable amount of punishment.

The class is also one of the few Federation starships that can operate underwater for extended periods.
